The MPEG-2 A/V
Express Card is part of a family of powerful-single-board solutions
designed to compress audio and video for broadband network, home
network and security applications in a PC or embedded environment.
Its main application is video over IP, enabling the delivery of
value-added services such as streaming video with multicasting technology
and video on demand. The card, which is powered by the PCI connector,
comes with device drivers and sample application code for easy installation,
setup and operation. The A/V Express Card creates an efficient environment
for rapid prototyping and reduced time-to-market.
